Skilled Zhostovo Artists handcraft this beautiful handpainted Brooch Papier Mache Pin. This style of painting dates to the 18th century when this painting technique was used. The Brooch is coated with a few layers of priming and oil varnish. This beautiful work of art is created with a few consecutive energetic and firm strokes with a soft brush and oil paints, richly diluted with linseed oil. The Brooch is then covered with layers of light lacquer and polished to brilliance as a finishing touch. Due to the nature of handpainted work, all Brooches are one of a kind, and no two look exactly alike.
